EMIRATES FINE ARTS SOCIETY 29th ANNUAL EXHIBITION

The Emirates Fine Arts Society helps promote art education and art appreciation among the public and conducts art workshops, seminars and lectures, in painting, sculpture, ceramics, graphics, photography and calligraphy. The society also encourages artists to get together, assists with exhibitions, and produces publications and periodicals on fine arts.

SCULPTOURE '10

An outdoor sculpture park presented by SICA, the Shore Institute of Contemporary Arts and ArtsCAP, the Arts Coalition of Asbury Park.

SICA's fourth annual urban sculpture park and tour. The sculptures, selected from a nation-wide competition, will be placed at outdoor locations throughout Long Branch and Asbury Park, including the oceanfront area.

Be sure to look up and see "Vitruvius," made by Robert Mataranglo and Harry Hukkinen, placed on top of the Investors Savings Bank bank at Liberty Street and Broadway in Long Branch.

Sculptoure '10 was judged by Ellen J. Landis, curator at the Grounds for Sculpture, in Hamilton, NJ.

FILM ONE FEST

The Atlantic Highlands One Minute Film Festival

Harry is volunteering for the first annual FilmOneFest, which will take place on July 18th, 2009 (rain date July 25th), in the beautiful Atlantic Highlands Marina in historic Atlantic Highlands, NJ. The festival will feature one minute videos and films from local, national and international film makers. A special "Bayshore" category will feature videos and films whose focus addresses issues specific to the Bayshore region including the environment, boating, fishing, and the region's history. A student category will also provide an opportunity for young film makers to participate.

Brookdale Mural Project

Robert Curcio, principal of curcioprojects, created the organization to consolidate his diversified projects (curating, writing, selling, events, etc.) and to represent a select group of artists. Most recently, he was a co-founder and a producer of the - scope Art Fairs. He has 20 years experience in both the for-profit and non-profit art sectors and started his career as an exhibiting artist who graduated from Tyler School of Art, Temple University. Curcio has written exhibition essays and for Artnews, Cover, d'art International, Sculpture, Tema Celeste and Zing magazines.
